IND vs AUS: Big shock for KL Rahul in the first test.. Telugabbaye as Team India’s keeper.. Ready for debut?

Border-Gavaskar Trophy: The first match of the 4-match Border-Gavaskar Test series against Australia will be played in Nagpur from February 9. Meanwhile, wicket keeper KS Bharat has a chance to make his international debut in this match.

IND vs AUS: The 4-match Test series between India vs Australia will start from February 9. Currently both the teams are busy in their preparations. Indian team’s match winner wicket keeper cum batsman Rishabh Pant is not playing in this test series. In such a situation, it seems that KS Bharat, who performed brilliantly in domestic cricket, can be included in the playing eleven for the first Test match.

It is known that Rishabh Pant was injured in a car accident in December 2022. Due to this he has to stay away not only from cricket but also from Team India for a long time now. On the other hand, talking about KS Bharat, he has been in the Indian Test team for more than a year. But, he didn’t get a chance to make his debut till now.

No chance for KL Rahul wicket keeping in the first test..

So far there are speculations that opener KL Rahul will be given the responsibility of wicket keeping. But considering Rahul’s fitness, it seems that giving him this responsibility will be a big threat to the team.

KL Rahul has been injured several times in the past year. BCCI sources also announced the same in a statement given to Inside Sports. In such circumstances, it seems that it is not a right decision to play him as a wicketkeeper in Test cricket. The Test format requires a specialist wicketkeeper-cum-batsman. Currently Bharat and Ishan are two wicket keepers in the team. In such situations, the team management has to decide who should be given a chance in the playing eleven. Ishaan Kishan is also currently struggling with his form. In this sequence, it seems that KS Bharat may get a chance to make his debut with the Australia series.

KS Bharat first-class career..

KS Bharat has a great record in domestic cricket so far in his career. Playing for Andhra, the wicketkeeper-batsman has so far scored 4707 runs in 135 innings in 86 matches at an average of 37.95. During this time, 9 centuries and 27 fifties have come from his bat so far. Meanwhile, Bharat has played 10 matches in the IPL so far. There he scored a total of 199 runs at an average of 28.43.
