Asia Cup 2023: Will team India go to Pakistan.. PCB chief discussed with Jaisha.. What was decided?

IND vs PAK: India and Pakistan have been at war for the past three months over the hosting of Asia Cup 2023. This tournament is to be held in Pakistan.

Jay Shah and Najam Sethi: Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jaisha is currently in Bahrain. He went to Bahrain for a key meeting of the ACC. The meeting was held in connection with the hosting of Asia Cup 2023. Here, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Najam Sethi put the matter of Pakistan’s hosting rights before Jaishah.

It seems almost impossible for Pakistan to host Asia Cup 2023. Because there is no possibility of Indian team going to Pakistan. In such a situation, it seems that Asia Cup can be shifted to UAE or Sri Lanka.

‘Jaisha is currently going to the ACC meeting in Bahrain. BCCI’s stand will not change. BCCI said that we will not go to Pakistan as we have not received permission from the government.

Blue clouds over Pakistan’s hospitality

Asia Cup 2023 was supposed to be held in Pakistan but, due to BCCI’s objection, its chances now look slim. There have been no major changes in the relations between India and Pakistan for the past decade and a half. In this decade and a half, the Indian team has not toured Pakistan even once. It is known that Jaisha clarified in a statement that the Indian team would not go to Pakistan when there was a discussion that the Asia Cup would be held in Pakistan in October last year.

Rameez Raja’s threats

After Jaisha’s announcement, there was a big debate on the issue. Many former Pakistan cricketers have termed the BCCI’s stance as wrong. At that time, PCB chief Rameez Raja also said that if the Indian team does not come to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, the Pakistan team will not participate in the ODI World Cup to be held in India in 2023. Now the new chief of PCB is trying to convince BCCI on this matter.
