In a span of a week, two former players of the Indian cricket team have announced their retirement one after the other. Former Team India batsman Murali Vijay took this decision on January 30, while former bowler Joginder Sharma announced his retirement on Friday.
Joginder, who impressed against Pakistan in the 2007 T20 World Cup final, wrote a long letter announcing his retirement and posted it on social media.
On this announcement, another well wishes poured in for Joginder. However, he was caught off guard by a small mistake. Joginder used the words of Murali Vijay who retired five days ago.
Murali Vijay posted his announcement on social media. As soon as Joginder posted his ad, he was trolled saying that he had copied it. It was taken down from the note sent by Vijay. Only the names of the teams (State, IPL) are different.
The former Test opener of Team India retired from international and domestic cricket on January 30. Vijay played his last Test match for India in 2018.
