Indian spinner R Ashwin has got a great chance to break former great Anil Kumble’s record in the Border Gavaskar Test series against Australia starting from February 9. After breaking Kumble’s record, Ashwin became the fastest bowler to take 450 wickets in Test cricket after Muralitharan. Before him, bowler Muttiah Muralitharan, who was the fastest in the history of Test cricket to take 450 wickets, achieved this feat in 80 matches.
