The Aussie team management has made a new move to face Ashwin head on on the ground. India took a spinner like Acham Ashwin for net practice.
The series of 4 Test matches between India and Australia will start from next week. The first match of the Border-Gavaskar series will be played on February 9 in Nagpur. Australia has started preparations for this in Bangalore. Meanwhile, the Aussie team management has taken a new step to face Ashwin on Indian soil. India took a spinner like Acham Ashwin for net practice. So who is he.. Mahesh Pithia. The 21-year-old spinner made his debut in first-class cricket for Baroda in December last year. After seeing Pithia’s bowling action, everyone calls him a duplicate of Ashwin. Mahesh came to the attention of Aussie team management through social media. He was immediately contacted. As part of the net practice, the Aussie batters are practicing against Mahesh’s bowling in the nets.
Meanwhile, a video of Aussie batsman Steve Smith hitting Mahesh’s bowling is going viral on social media. At the same time, Marnus Labushane and Travis Head struggled to face Mahesh’s balls. This series is going to be crucial for Team India as it is the final of the World Test Championship this year. A win in this series is very important for the Indian team to step into the WTC finals. The Aussies have already secured the final berth with 75.56 points. India is second with 58.93 points. Sri Lankan team is fighting hard for India.

Mahesh Pithiya grew up being called โAshwinโ owing to his uncanny impersonation of his idol @ashwinravi99 & he ended up ‘playing’ Ashwin for Australia in their first training session on tour & making a big impression on Steve Smith.
