This young player who is currently causing panic with his bat has become a key player in the Indian team. He was unbeaten on 102 off 94 balls in the Under-19 final match. He became the first batsman to score a century for India in the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2018.
He is not who he is.. Shubman Gill. Shubhaman Gill was born on 8 September 1999 in Fazilka, Punjab, India. He did his schooling at Manav Mangal Smart School in Mohali, Punjab. Shubman has been playing cricket since childhood. He was inspired by legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid.
Shubham Gill’s father Lakhwinder Singh was a farmer. The son built a field in the farm for cricket practice and also made a turf pitch for playing. Lakhwinder used to challenge the village boys to take his son’s wicket. If they succeed, he pays 100 rupees.
Shubman Gill played for India in the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2018. India won this world cup. Shubman Gill’s name has been added to the list of heroes who have achieved this success. Virat Kohli said – At 19, I didn’t even play 10 percent of him. At the age of just 23, Shubman Gill scored a double century in ODI cricket for India and is raising new hopes.
