Mohammad Siraj became the Indian bowler who took most wickets in ODIs in 2022. He continued his form in 2023 as well. He has taken 14 wickets in six matches so far this year.

Young pacer Mohammed Siraj showered praises on former Indian captain Virat Kohli. It is known that Team India’s young pacer Mohammad Siraj has got the top spot in the latest ODI rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC). An old video of Mohammed Siraj thanking him after becoming the No.1 bowler in ODIs is doing rounds on social media again. The 28-year-old pacer has been in red-hot form for India in the last one year. He was the leading wicket taker for the country in ODIs. Recently, this Hyderabad pacer, who showed his ability in the ODI series against Sri Lanka and New Zealand, pushed back star bowlers like Trent Boult and Hazlewood and stood as number one. While Siraj is at the first position with 729 rating points, Australian pacer Hazel Wood is at the second position with 727 rating points and New Zealand bowler Trent Boult is at the third position with 708 rating points.

Siraj continued that form with nine wickets in three ODIs against Sri Lanka in 2023. Two wickets at home against New Zealand. Siraj is credited for supporting Kohli at Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He thanked the team management for supporting him.

Siraj has played 21 ODIs so far after making his debut in 2019 and became the third Indian pacer after Jasprit Bumrah and Kapil Dev to reach the No. 1 position in the ODI bowler rankings.
