Leg spinner caught in the trap..

India won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Indian bowlers proved that captain Shefali Verma’s decision was correct. Although the Indian team could not bowl out Sri Lanka, they bowled hard. With this, the Lankan girls faced many difficulties to run. In particular, 16-year-old leg-spinner Parsavi Chopra (5/4) suffocated the Lankans with her spin magic. Only Vishmi Gunaratne (25) excelled as Sri Lanka scored 59 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. After that, even though the target was small, Team India played aggressively from the beginning to make up for the net run rate loss due to the defeat against Australia. But captain Shefali Verma (15), Shweta Sehrawat (13) and Richa Ghosh (4) were dismissed quickly. But a 17-year-old girl from Bhopal, Soumya Tiwari, rained fours. An unbeaten 28 off just 15 balls took the team to the target in 7.2 overs i.e. 44 balls.
