Team India won the second ODI against New Zealand at Raipur venue. Rohit Sena recorded another victory over the Kiwis by eight wickets. India smashed the target of 109 runs set by the Kiwis in 20.1 overs and registered a huge victory. Opener Rohit Sharma (51; 7 fours, 2 sixes in 50 balls) excelled. With this win, Team India won the three ODI series by 2-0. Team India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose fielding without any other thought. Bowler Shami kept his faith. The opener bowled Allen in the first over. From there the downfall of the Kiwis began. Middle order batsmen Phillips, Braswell and Santner tried to support the team which lost 5 wickets for 15 runs. If these three are missing, all other batters are limited to single digits.

With this, New Zealand scored 108 runs in 34.3 overs. Glenn Phillips (36) was the top scorer in the New Zealand team.. Michael Braswell (22) and Mitchell Santern (27) scored only runs. Among the Indian bowlers, Shami took 3 wickets and ruled the downfall of the Kiwis. Hardik Pandya and Washington Sundar took two wickets each.. Siraj, Shardul and Kuldeep took wickets each.
