The women’s IPL dream is going to come true in a few days. Preparations are underway to start the first season of the tournament with 5 teams in March 2023. For this, the franchises will announce on January 25. Before that important information is coming out from the auction purse to foreign players.
According to a Cricbuzz report, in the Women’s IPL, each team bid for a purse of Rs. Gets a budget of up to 12 crores. That is what franchises use to buy players. This will increase by Rs.1.5 crore every year for the next 5 years. Auction purse in men’s IPL Rs. 95 crores.
Capped and uncapped players who register for the auction decide their own base price. Bidding on them starts from that base price.
In men’s IPL, maximum 4 foreign players are included in the playing eleven, while in women’s IPL, 5 players are included.
A special rule applies to the inclusion of players from associate countries. Accordingly, if a team fields a total of five foreign players, the fifth player must be a player from an associate country.
