Mr. Dependable, Team India Head Coach Rahul Dravid’s youngest son is following in his footsteps. Rahul’s youngest son Anvai Dravid was recently selected as the captain of the Karnataka cricket team. Anway will lead the Karnataka team in the Inter Zonal Under-14 tournament. Like his father, Anvay, who is a wicketkeeper-cum-batter, has attracted the attention of the selectors by doing exceptionally well in the past few years. While Rahul Dravid’s elder son, Samit Dravid, Anvay’s elder brother, is already doing well as a cricketer. In the 2019-20 season, Samit grabbed everyone’s attention by scoring two double centuries in Under-14 cricket. Now Anvay is also eager to be like his father’s son in cricket. Meanwhile, Anvay, who was selected as the captain of the Karnataka team in the under-14 inter-zonal tournament two years ago, played a brilliant innings with his elder brother Samit. As part of the BTR Shield Under 14 School Tournament, both the brothers put on a double century partnership in which wicket-keeper batsman Anvay Dravid scored 90 runs.
Dravid’s eldest son Samit Dravid grew up watching his father play cricket during the IPL. But younger son Anvai did not get a chance to watch his father play. But he is continuing his father’s legacy and proving his talent in cricket. Like Rahul Dravid, Anway is also a wicketkeeper-cum-batter and everyone thinks that he will be very successful like his father.
