Pant was injured in a road accident on December 30. After that, Pant was admitted to a private hospital in Dehradun. But BCCI decided to treat Pant in Mumbai. Accordingly, Pant was flown to Mumbai on January 4. He was then admitted to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital under the supervision of Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala. A few days later, Pant underwent ligament surgery on his knee. The surgery lasted for about 3 hours. But 4-5 days after surgery Later, Pant got up from the bed with the help of others. He stood on his feet for a few seconds. But the doctors advised Pant to walk with the help of a walker for the next few days. Pant will be kept in the hospital for another week.

Pant will take 4-6 weeks to fully recover from ligament surgery. After this 2 to 3 months panth can be practiced on foot. But it may take another 4 months to get fully fit. So Pant should be out of action for at least 6 months. may take He should be mentally strong during this time. Only then will he recover quickly,’ said the doctors.
