But the Goa authorities reacted to Yuvraj’s announcement that the house would be rented out to tourists without registering it. Officials of the Goa Tourism Department have revealed that it is against the rules to advertise for rent without registering as per the rules of the Tourism Department, and a fine of Rs.1 lakh will be imposed for that. The Goa government has made it clear that registration is mandatory for running hospitality activities, be it a hotel, guest house or villa. The Goa government has directed Yuvraj Singh to appear in person on December 8 and explain the notices issued.
