IND vs SA: Pakistan faced with the defeat of the Indian team.. Out of the tournament.. Should Rohit Sena reach the semis?

South Africa won the T20 World Cup against India by five wickets. After the Indian team’s defeat against South Africa, there has been a huge change in the Group 2 points table. While South Africa reached the number one position in the points table, India fell to the second position.

The Indian team suffered its first defeat in the T20 World Cup. South Africa beat India by five wickets in the match held at Perth on Sunday. Team India, who set a target of 134 runs for the African team, lost as they reached that target with two balls left. India defeated Pakistan and Netherlands in their previous matches.

After the Indian team’s defeat against South Africa, there has been a huge change in the Group 2 points table. Now the South African team has reached number one in the points table with two wins and one washout from three matches. Talking about India, they fell to the second position with two wins and one loss. South Africa has five points and India has four points.

Bangladesh is third in Group-2. It has won two out of three matches so far. Bangladesh also have four points. But, its net run rate is in minus. Zimbabwe team is fourth with three points from three matches with one win, one loss and one cancellation. On the other hand, Pakistan team is in fifth place with two points, Netherlands is in sixth place.

Is Pakistan out of the tournament?

After India’s defeat, the Pakistan team is now in trouble. If South Africa beat Pakistan in their next match, Babar Sena will be out of the World Cup. Even if Pakistan beats South Africa, it will not be difficult as South Africa have to play against Netherlands. In such situations, if the African team wins the last match, they will get 7 points. On the other hand, Pakistan will reach only six points by defeating South Africa and Bangladesh.

In the next two matches, India..

Only the Netherlands lost all three matches they played and crashed out of the semi-final race. India now need to win both the remaining matches to reach the semi-finals. Even if Team India can reach the semi-finals even after winning one match, it will depend on the net run rate. Rohit Sena is scheduled to play against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.

On the other hand, there is no doubt that Pakistan team will be praying for India to lose at least one match as Rohit Sena has only six points. Then Bangladesh and Zimbabwe teams are also in the race. Bangladesh team reached 8 points by winning two matches. On the other hand Zimbabwe can also reach 7 points if they win the remaining two matches.
