Virat Kohli is performing consistently in T20 World Cup 2022. He was instrumental in helping India win both the matches.
Team India’s star batsman Virat Kohli, who struggled for runs for almost two and a half years, is back in form. As he returns to form, Kohli continues to add records to his tally. In the T20 World Cup, Kohli recently created another huge record in the South Africa match. Kohli, who played excellent innings against Pakistan and Netherlands in the T20 World Cup, is expected to do a huge innings against South Africa as well. But, it didn’t happen. Kohli reached the pavilion after scoring just 12 runs.
Soon after Virat Kohli’s 11 against South Africa in Perth on Sunday, October 30, he became the first batsman to score 1000 runs for India in the T20 World Cup. Currently he stands with 1001 runs.
It is noteworthy that Rohit Sharma is the only batsman from India who has reached 1000 runs along with Virat Kohli. Rohit scored 919 runs in 33 innings.
Kohli has got good results in the World Cup which is currently being held in Australia. Kohli scored two consecutive half-centuries against Pakistan and Netherlands. However, he did not last long against South Africa. He got out after scoring only 12 runs.
