Sports Minister Anurag Thakur reacted sharply to the threats of the Pakistan Cricket Board not to play the World Cup in India. Anurag Thakur concluded that every big team will come to play in the World Cup in India next year. Anurag Thakur gave a strong counter that India is a powerhouse for sports, especially cricket, and that they will not listen to anyone in this matter. It is known that PCB on Wednesday threatened not to play in the World Cup in India.
Anurag Thakur said at the Khelo India Youth Games event.. ‘This is a matter related to BCCI. They will also respond to this matter. India is a sporting powerhouse. Many World Cups have been held here. The ODI World Cup will be held in India next year. Every major team is involved. Because India cannot be ignored in any sport. The World Cup will be held in India next year. Its event will be grand. The Home Ministry will take a decision on going to Pakistan because of security concerns. It is not just about cricket. India is not in a position to listen to anyone.’
PCB threatens to withdraw from the World Cup.
BCCI Secretary Jaisha announced on October 18 that Team India will not travel to Pakistan to play Asia Cup 2023. After that, not only the Pakistan Cricket Board but also the formers opposed Jaisha’s decision on these comments made by him. After this announcement there was an earthquake in Pakistan. If the Indian team does not come to Pakistan to play the Asia Cup 2023, PCB is being advised not to participate in the World Cup in India.
Two huge tournaments in Pakistan
Asia Cup will be held in Pakistan in 2023. It will be held in ODI format. However, ACC President Jaisha announced that the Indian team will not go to Pakistan and this tournament will be held as a neutral venue. After the Asia Cup, the Champions Trophy will also be held in Pakistan in 2025. In such a situation there is a fuss about that tournament as well.
