BCCI Annual General Meeting: The BCCI Annual General Meeting approved the organization of Women’s IPL. Many other important decisions were also taken.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has concluded. In this meeting BCCI announced new office bearers and took many important decisions. Agreeing to host the Women’s IPL is a crucial decision. It has been decided to start the women’s IPL from next year. Now let’s see what other key decisions were taken at the BCCI 91st annual meeting held at a 5-star hotel in South Mumbai.

1. BCCI elected new office bearers. Roger Binny as President, Rajeev Shukla as Vice President, Jaisha Secretary, Devjit Saika as Joint Secretary and Ashish Shelar as Treasurer.

2. BCCI General Body approves Women’s IPL.

3. Men’s Future Tours Program (2023-27), Women’s Future Tours Program (2022-25) were also approved.

4. Approved the budget for the financial year 2022-23.

5. Approved the audited account for the financial year 2021-22.

6. MJK Majumdar elected to BCCI Apex Council.

7. Arun Singh Dhumal, Avishek Dalmiya elected to IPL Governing Council.

8. BCCI General Body thanked the office bearers of BCCI and IPL Governing Council for their services since last term.

Women’s IPL in March 2023..!

The women’s IPL is likely to be held in March ahead of the men’s IPL next year. So far five teams have come to the fore in this IPL. A total of 20 league matches will be played in the tournament. In this all teams will face each other team 2 times. The team that tops the points table will qualify for the final. The second and third placed teams will play in the eliminator.
