In the latest T20 batsmen rankings, while Indian player Suryakumar Yadav continues his second position, New Zealand star batsman Devon Conway joins Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam in the top five. Ahead of the T20 World Cup, Conway became the top run-scorer in the T20 tri-series in New Zealand, and the race to become the world’s No. 1 batsman intensified. He is now in the top five T20 batting rankings. After scoring an unbeaten 70 against Bangladesh and an unbeaten 49 against Pakistan in the previous match, Conway overtook Aaron Finch and David Malan. He currently has 760 rating points.

The New Zealand cricketer is trailing South African middle-order batsman Aiden Markram at number 4 with 777 points. Rizwan opened the tri-series with an unbeaten 78 runs. But, since then, he has been miserably failing to score runs. His lead over Suryakumar has now reduced to just 15 rating points. Babar is third, 30 points behind. The T20 World Cup in Australia saw a big change in this list.

Meanwhile, in the bowling rankings, England’s fast bowlers Mark Wood and Reece Topley have taken a good lead. Wood has impressed with his pace since returning from injury. He entered the top 20 at number 18, up 14 places. He is the highest ranked fast bowler in England in the T20 bowling rankings after Topley. Wood took 3/34 in the first T20I against Australia in the seven-match series after taking six at 7.50 in Pakistan. Topley took two wickets in Perth T20I. He has been England’s leading wicket-taker in T20Is this year.

Jos Buttler and Alex Hales also got these points with a 132-run partnership in the T20 in Perth. Butler climbed four places to 22nd, while Alex Hales entered the top 100. In the ODI batting rankings, despite India’s series win over South Africa, Shikhar Dhawan has dropped six places. Indian opener Virat Kohli is tied for 17th position with Rohit Sharma. Neither has slipped further down the rankings after missing out on the ODI series. Quinton de Kock’s poor form cost him a place. Imam-ul-Haq ODI batting rankings no. Helped to reach 2.

Shreyas Iyer, Heinrich Klaasen and Sanju Samson have reached the top 100 in the batting rankings. Kuldeep Yadav, who took four wickets in the third ODI, climbed seven places and reached the top 25.
