Ind vs Aus: Hardik Pandya scores a half century against Australia. It was only his second half-century in T20 Internationals. He scored his first half-century against England two months ago.

Hardik Pandya: Australia beat India by 4 wickets in the first match of the three-match T20I series held at the Punjab Cricket Association’s IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. Australia chased down the huge target of 209 runs by losing 6 wickets in this thrilling match at Mohali. Camroom Green played a storming innings for Australia. He scored a half century with 61 runs in 30 balls with the help of 8 fours and 4 sixes. At the same time, at the end of the match, Matthew Wade played a stormy innings of 45 runs off 21 balls with the help of 6 fours and 2 fours. However, Hardik Pandya showed his mark and impressed in this match.

There is no doubt that if anyone can prove to be the most important player for the Indian team in next month’s T20 World Cup in Australia, it is likely to be star all-rounder Hardik Pandya. The veteran all-rounder has regained the fitness and form he lost in the last few months. It is always visible in his performance. Although he was not in full form in the Asia Cup, Hardik batted like a storm against Australia and took Team India past 200 runs.

Team India had to bat first in the first match of the T20 series being held in Mohali. Team captain Rohit Sharma and star batsman Virat Kohli could not do anything special. But KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav’s brilliant innings laid a good foundation for a huge score for Team India.

Hardik’s stormy innings..

After Rahul got out in the 12th over.. Hardik came to the crease and started running without taking any time. Suryakumar, Akshar Patel and Dinesh Karthik also joined the pavilion soon. Though consecutive wickets were falling from one end, Hardik continued his stormy batting from the other end and completed his fifty in just 25 balls.

This is only the second half-century of Hardik’s T20 international career. He scored his first half-century against England in July this year. Along with this, Hardik also scored the biggest score of his career.

Hardik ended the innings with a hat-trick of sixes.

The Indian all-rounder showed more aggression especially in the last over. Australian medium pacer Cameron Green has adopted different tricks. Hardik was silent for the first three balls. But, in the last 3 balls, Hardik hit six consecutive sixes at mid-wicket, long off, deep backward point. Hardik took 58 runs in his innings. He got 7 fours and 5 sixes in just 12 balls. Hardik scored an unbeaten 71 off just 30 balls to take India to 208 for 6. But, due to the mistakes made by the bowlers as well as the fielders, Team India could not save this score and lost.
