At this moment, an employee working in the canteen was arrested at IIT Bombay for taking a video of a student in the hostel. A university student finds a mobile phone outside the bathroom window. She immediately alerted the hostel council officials. Later she complained about the matter to the management. Based on her complaint, the authorities caught him and handed him over to the police. After spotting the camera, the student immediately called her friends and informed the college authorities. While trying to gather details based on the CCTV footage outside the hostel building, it was not possible to scan the footage as the cameras were broken. From 3:30 pm to 3 am, the five personnel were interrogated at the Powai police station. One of them was arrested under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) after interrogation. Further investigation is being done to know the complete details.
Meanwhile, in Chandigarh University, the nude videos of 60 female students were leaked and there was a lot of tension. Students are protesting against the behavior of the university authorities. It is alleged that the scenes of students taking a bath went viral on social media. They demanded strict action against those who made it viral. Pro-Chancellor RS Bawa has clarified that the girl who is accused of sharing nude videos of girls with her boyfriend does not have any videos on her phone. Mohali SP Vivek Soni said that they are investigating the viral incident of the videos of the female students. However, it was explained that no one attempted suicide in the university. The management of the university has made it clear that they will fully cooperate with the high-level investigation ordered by the Punjab government.
