The old age pension due to a 102-year-old centenarian from Gandhra village in Rohtak district of Haryana was stopped in March this year. Aara Thiyaga.. Haryana government has stopped the old age pension of Duli Chand.. and it has been shown as dead in the official records. With this, grandfather wore a garland of notes around his neck and reached the DC office with Barry’s procession. He showed his Aadhaar card, family identity card and bank statements to the media saying that he was doing all this to prove that he was alive. In this procession some held placards in support of Duli Chand and shouted slogans saying ‘Your uncle is still alive’. Responding to this, former Haryana Unit AAP leader Naveen Jaihind demanded the government to provide pension to Duli Chand immediately. It is unfair to harass such old people by withholding their pension.
