The agents of a finance company, where people are consumed by the madness of money and humanity is being forgotten, took the life of a pregnant woman. The horrific incident took place in Parinath village of Hazaribagh district in Jharkhand.
Pregnant woman crushed under tractor: The anarchy of finance companies and loan recovery agents is getting out of hand. There are incidents where many committed suicide because they could not bear the harassment of loan agents. The agents of a finance company, where people are consumed by the madness of money and humanity is being forgotten, took the life of a pregnant woman. The horrific incident took place in Parinath village of Hazaribagh district in Jharkhand. A recovery agent of a finance company ran over a pregnant woman with a tractor. As a result, the pregnant woman died. The incident took place in Ichak police station on Friday. Police said the victim is a disabled farmer’s daughter who is three months pregnant.
According to the police, agents of Mahindra Finance Company went to farmer Mithilesh Mehta’s house to recover the tractor without giving any prior notice. At this time the farmer was accompanied by his daughter (27) who was three months pregnant. An argument took place between the farmer and the finance company officer while taking the tractor. Later they beat the daughter when she obstructed the process of taking the tractor. After that, she was hit by a tractor. District Superintendent of Police Manoj Ratan Chote said that she died of severe injuries.
After this incident, a case of murder has been registered against four persons, including the recovery agent and manager of the private finance company, DSP said. The relative of the victim said that Mahindra Finance Company officials came to her house without informing them. It was revealed that she was beaten and trampled with a tractor.. Then she was brought to the hospital. Hazaribagh local police revealed that the officials of the finance company did not inform the local police station before going to the victim’s residence to recover the tractor.
Mahindra Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Anish Shah responded to this incident. He said that the company will investigate this from all angles. He assured that he will find out how the third party agencies are dealing with the matter of loan recovery.
