The father was told that the dead body of the young woman was found hanging from a mango tree in Vavi village next to the village. As a result, when the family members came near the tree, the father accused them of destroying the foundations.
Maharastra: A father wants justice for the injustice done to his deceased daughter. Moreover, he kept his dead daughter’s body in a silo full of salt for 44 days and is waiting for justice. This heartbreaking incident took place in Maharashtra’s Nandurbar district. A 27-year-old girl was gang-raped. The young woman told her relatives over the phone that she was in danger.. that she had been raped. Moreover, the relatives said that he was told that the thugs would kill him. But the father received information that the young woman had committed suicide.
The father was told that the dead body of the young woman was found hanging from a mango tree in Vavi village, which is next to their village. As a result, when the family members came near the tree, the father accused them of destroying the foundations. A postmortem report was received that the victim had committed suicide. The family members allege that the medical staff told them that when they contacted the doctors, the police asked them to investigate only if there were any injuries on the body. They want the police to investigate the rape.
Father’s efforts to get justice for gang-rape victim’s daughter:
His daughter has left this world.. Even after her death, the father is expressing his grief that justice has not been done to his daughter. Moreover.. determined to do justice to his daughter anyway, he kept the dead body in the salt pit. The father is confident that the government and authorities will respond to his demand and fill the files related to the case again.
True to his father’s belief, now MP Heena Gawli, SP has ordered a re-investigation into the death of the young woman. Once again the body is being taken for postmortem. The accused have already been arrested. Ranjit Thackeray (age 19), Sunil alias Hana Valvi (age 21) and Amar alias Gotu Valvi (age 18) were detained by the police. A fresh autopsy report is awaited. But the family members of the deceased say that they do not have faith in the behavior of the police. The family members are demanding that the case be transferred to another district. The role of the Dhadgaon taluk police in this whole affair is suspect. Even if the victim spoke to her relatives on the phone before her death, the police did not listen.
Four thugs gang-raped and hanged them from a tree!
The victim is a married tribal woman. Separated from her husband, she lives with her father in Dhadgaon taluka of Nandurbar district. The victim’s family alleged that Ranjeet Thackeray, along with one of his accomplices from neighboring Vavi village, forcibly took the victim on a motorcycle. Two more people joined in a short distance away. After that, the victim was taken 20-30 kilometers to the village and gang-raped in a secluded area. Seeing the opportunity, the victim contacted her family members on her phone and told them that her life was in danger.
After that, the father was informed that his daughter had died. Alleging that his daughter was murdered after a gang-rape, he accused the police of trying to cover up the matter. Moreover, the deceased’s father expressed doubt about the role of the Dhadgaon police in this case. This is the reason why the daughter’s dead body has been preserved in salt tar from 1st August.
The victim’s father said that he will not cremate his daughter until a proper investigation into her death is conducted and her body is re-postmortemed. Considering the persistence of the father and the anger of the locals, the administration again conducted a post-mortem and started investigating the case thoroughly.
