Dussehra (Dussehra) celebrations are celebrated with grandeur and grandeur across the country. Everyone is immersed in devotional ecstasy, whether South or North. Devi is worshiped in different forms. The noise and commotion of Vijayadashami is not all. Dussehra celebrations are also celebrated in Tamil Nadu. A part of these festivals are obscene dances and film song recording dances. However, the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court has banned these. A bench comprising Justices Mahadevan and Satyanarayana Prasad issued orders to give priority to devotional songs. Kulasekhara town of Thoothukudi district in the state is famous for Vidayadashami celebrations. In the Mutthalamman Koil here, the festivities are held for nine days. Dances to movie songs are out of tune. Every year obscenity is increasing. A social worker named Ramkumar Adityan filed a petition in the Madurai bench against this. In the lawsuit, it was sought to ban obscene dances being performed in the name of Dussehra festival.

The bench comprising Justices Mahadevan and Satyanarayana Prasad, which received this petition for hearing, made key comments. The counsel for the petitioner explained to the court that during the festival, which is celebrated with devotion, devotees give high priority to Vratas and Noms. It was argued that in these cases, obscene activities are taking place and due to this, the devotees are facing difficulties. After the arguments, the judges ruled that obscene dances and film songs should not be allowed in any temple celebrations, not only during the Dussehra festival. Tuthukudi District SP and Collector have issued orders to ensure that such things do not happen during the celebrations in Kulasekhara town.
