A heavy police force has been deployed in the area where the bodies were found. On receiving the information, several high officials including Lakhimpur Kheri District SP inspected the incident site.
Uttar Pradesh: Another atrocity took place in Uttar Pradesh. Two more Dalit girls died under suspicious circumstances in UP’s Lakhimpur. Two minor girls were seen hanging from a tree as disembodied beings. The local residents informed the police. The police arrived at the scene of the incident and brought down the dead bodies of the girls and took them to the hospital for post-mortem. A heavy police force has been deployed in the area where the bodies were found. Lakhimpur Kheri District SP Sanjeev Suman and Additional SP Arun Kumar Singh also reached the spot after receiving the information. An investigation has been launched into the cause of the girls’ death.
Meanwhile, the deceased have been identified as Poonam (15) and Manisha (17). Both the deceased girls are known to be sisters. Maya Devi, the mother of the deceased girls, alleged that three youths from a nearby village abducted the girls and hanged them from a tree. The bodies were sent for autopsy. The police are thoroughly examining the place of the incident to ascertain the cause of death.. On the other hand, the villagers are expressing their anger over the death of the girls. They protested that the accused should be caught and punished severely. The police were heavily deployed in this order.
