RK Singh: When many states are objecting to the power reforms brought by the central government, the central government has responded to this. Along with the TRS government in Telangana, the Congress has also been criticizing the bill as there are many issues that will cause trouble for the farmers. Criticisms are pouring in from the opposition that the central government is bringing these electricity reforms with the intention of benefiting only a few people. All opposition parties have targeted BJP in this regard. Meanwhile Union Power Minister RK Singh gave a clarification. Speaking exclusively to TV9, he said that all aspects of the electricity reform bill introduced by the Union government in the Lok Sabha will benefit the people. He said that eBill will increase competition so that people will get better services at lower cost. He said that the eBill will be useful to prevent monopoly in the electricity sector. Monopoly is without. On the other hand, Union Minister RK Singh also responded to Telangana CM KCR’s comments on electricity reforms. He said that KCR wants a monopoly and that is why he is opposing the bill.

He said that this bill does not stop the electricity subsidies given by the state governments. On this occasion, the Union Minister of Electricity reminded that he had already clarified on this matter. He said that if the state governments want to provide free electricity not only to farmers, but to any group, they can. RK Singh made it clear that the central government has no problem or objection in this regard. He said that the Electricity Reforms Bill will increase competition so that people will not have to depend on one company. Union Power Minister RK Singh has made it clear that there is no intention of withdrawing the E-bill under any circumstances.
