Preparations have started in Mysore Palace and other areas. The throne room will begin on Tuesday, September 20. Entry of tourists into the palace is prohibited from 10 am to 1 pm on that day. On September 26, a private Durbar, various pujas and religious rituals will be held. After that also restrictions were imposed on public entry from 10 am to 1.30 pm.

Adyupuja will be held at the palace on October 4. Public will not be allowed to enter from 10 am to 2 pm on that day. Vijayadashami celebrations will be held on October 5. Even then entry to the palace was prohibited altogether. TS Subramanya, Deputy Director of the Palace Management Board informed TV9 that in view of the abdication of the throne on 20th, restrictions are being imposed on public entry from 10 am to 1 pm. The world famous Mysore Dussehra festival will begin from September 26. CM Basavaraj Bommai said through a tweet that President Draupadi will inaugurate Murmu Dussehra.
