Bangalore Demolition: Karnataka was recently flooded. Silicon City Bangalore is under water. The city dwellers suffered hell. However, there are allegations that illegal constructions are the reason for this situation. Bommai Sarkar is cracking down on illegal constructions. A drive to demolish buildings constructed in violation of norms was undertaken. Officials found that there are more than 690 encroachments in the city. Out of which, the maximum number of 175 structures are in Mahadevpura. They entered the field with more than 60 bulldozers and JCBs. All the illegal buildings are being razed to the ground. Even the huge apartments are not left out. Demolition program is going on in Challaghatta, Mahadevpura and Yalahanka. The government has identified encroachment as the main cause of massive floods in the city.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai conducted a special review. Orders have been issued to demolish the illegal structures. The CM announced that all those who broke the rules have been given notices..all illegal constructions will be removed. He said that the authorities have been given clear instructions to remove whoever has constructed structures to block the flow of rainwater. On the other hand, experts say that many places have been flooded due to the construction of ponds and canals. That is why the government has announced to demolish the buildings that are against the rules. Recently, the twin towers built by Supertech in UP Noida were razed to the ground because they were built against the norms. Now the process of demolition of illegal structures is going on in Bangalore too.
