Sarabjit Singh’s wife Sukhpreet Kaur Death: Sukhpreet Kaur, wife of Sarabjit Singh, who was murdered in Pakistan’s Lahore jail in 2013, died in a road accident on Monday. Sukhpreet Kaur fell from her motorcycle while going to Jalandhar on Sunday (September 11). Sarabjit Singh’s daughter Swapandeep Kaur revealed that she died on Monday while undergoing treatment for severe injuries. The incident took place in Bhikhivind. Her last rites were completed on Tuesday at Bhikhivind in her native Taran Taran. Sukhpreet has two daughters Poonam and Swapandeep Kaur.

Sarabjit Singh (49), a farmer from Bhikhivind town in Punjab, lives on the India-Pakistan border. He crossed the border by mistake while under the influence of alcohol. At that time, the Pakistani army caught him and took him to jail and interrogated him. But in 1991, a Pakistani court sentenced him to death. Singh spent 22 years in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail. In 2013, Singh was attacked by fellow inmates in the jail. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Singh, who was in a coma for five days due to severe injuries, died at Jinnah Hospital in Lahore.

Sarabjit’s sister Dalbir Kaur fought for 22 years for her release from Pakistan jail. Dalbir Kaur went to Godu saying that her brother Singh was innocent and had mistakenly gone to Pakistan and was arrested. In this order, he also went to Pakistan to see his brother.

After Sarabjit Singh’s death, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) asked the Pakistan government to investigate Singh’s death, while his sister Dalbir Kaur also called for an inquiry into the case. If the attack was planned by the government, there is no need for investigation. But if Sarabjit was attacked without the knowledge of the authorities, she demanded a thorough investigation. Meanwhile, Sarabjit’s sister Dalbir Kaur passed away last June due to chest pain.
