Director N. on not selecting RRR’s film for Oscar 2023 awards. Shankar expressed his displeasure. He said that he did not understand in what sense Gujarati movie Chalo Show was nominated. Speaking to the media on this occasion, “There are many films like Challo Show in the South. It is not known in what sense this movie was nominated. It is surprising that RRR did not send the film to the jury. Triple R has great design values along with patriotism. The team of RRR has done a lot to protect the reputation of Indian cinema. Selection Committees who do not know the difference between State Award, National Award and Oscar Award are like this. There will be many pressures on the selection committees but the committee should act with discretion” (RRR Movie).
Worked as a Jury Member of Indian Oscar Nominee Committee, Vice Chairman of National Film Awards Committee, Jury Member of Goa International Film Festival Award Committee. I was surprised that RRR’s film was not selected for the jury with the experience of working as a jury member in the common state six times. He said that this movie has great production values along with patriotism. But it is known that Gujarati movie Chalo Show has been nominated for Oscar 2023 awards instead of RRR movie which Indian movie lovers have been eagerly waiting for.
